Chocolate Milk
Over the years, MFS has taken in several goats who were used in 4-H, a program in which children are taught how to raise and use farm animals. Some children who take part in these programs do not realize that the animals who they have raised are destined for slaughter, and others decide that they no longer want the responsibility of caring for their animals. Chocolate Milk was one such goat, as his family decided they no longer wanted him when he was around 4 years old. MFS was happy to welcome him into our herd in 2007, and he has now been with us for more than ten years. Chocolate Milk was named for his brown and white coloring, which resembles chocolate being swirled into milk (almond or soy of course!).
