Griffen
Sweet Griffen came to Maple Farm around 2009 with Johnny Cakes, both male calves. They were rescued by a lady who worked at a local farm. It’s the usual story of male calves being shipped to slaughter and that’s where they were headed until she made a call to us pleading that we take them. They were ‘sickly’ when they arrived and were vaccinated and wormed, given good hay and a small amount of grain. They’ve never been 100% health wise and that might be because they didn’t get the liquid gold from their Mom -- colostrum.
They are wonderful boys and are spending their golden years together in the barnyard.
