Harriet
In June 2018, MFS welcomed three pigs as part of two rescues: Harriet and Jack, and Chester.
Harriet, a potbellied pig, came to MFS with Jack from a family who had taken in the two pigs but was no longer able to keep them. Before that, Harriet had been passed along from home to home because no one wanted her.
At the time of her rescue, Harriet was about two years old. She can be distinguished from the other two pigs because she is the largest in size and has distinctive white with black spotting.
Harriet is very friendly and loves greeting visitors and cuddling with her pig friends, but she is also an escape artist! As soon as a door opens she tries to go through it. She is often allowed to wander outside (under supervision, of course) as she loves to explore and also walk on a leash. She also knows how to “sit” and will do so in order to get her favorite treats: graham crackers.
